Bioglitter™ is a fabulous alternative to traditional plastic-based glitter. It is derived from a biodegradable substrate made from trees, usually eucalyptus, and sourced from responsibly managed plantations and contains low levels of heavy metals.

Bioglitter™ is designed to biodegrade quickly and safely in natural freshwater environments.

Bioglitter™ is also vegan-friendly, GMO free and just as sparkly and indistinguishable from polyester based glitter.

We suggest using our glitter to add sparkle to your wax melts and it is suitable for use in cosmetics in accordance with The Environmental Protection (Microbeads) (England) Regulations 2017.

Due to its cellulose content, it is softer than traditional glitter, making it extremely comfortable when on the skin, which makes it the perfect choice for soaps and bath bombs along with cosmetics, eyeshadow, soaps, nail art and crafts.

We do not, however, recommend the use of glitter directly in candles as it is a potential fire hazard, and it can clog up the wick. Bioglitter™ can however be used to decorate the outside of pillar candles and containers where they are used for display purposes only.
